Timestamp Web Service

What is a 'time stamp'?

It is an online mechanism that demonstrates that a series of data has existed and has not been altered from a specific moment in time. The time stamp is described in RFC3161, and is in the internet standards registry.

Web Service

To facilitate the integration of electronic signature services, isigma has a series of tools for developers. Within this set, a simple web service is offered whose purpose is to generate and safeguard time stamps, and recover time stamps generated.

The application that integrates the Web Service can send different types of data to be sealed:

- A document (any format)

- A URL

- A precalculated hash, which can refer to any type of data.

Time stamps would be obtained from a Recognized Time Sealing Authority.

The time stamps generated are kept in a secure repository (VAULT) available to the client, if required.
